The SSS braids comes in a quality which makes it perfect for all forms of bodies and ribbings. It is not too thick to overlap or to be twisted. In my own fly tying I only use this one quality. If you need a ribbing then use the same material but twine it into a round or oval form. The harder you twist the smaller flies it fits. -

This medium-long, exceptionally shiny, and durable hair has been a staple for decades. It's particularly well-suited for sparsely dressed medium and small flies, zonkers, or especially for shrimp legs and tentacles. We've opted to dye vibrant colours from pure white skins and marbled hues from those skins with black hair in between, which we call “Sapphire”.
