These straight and long fibered spade hackles have been hand selected to possess just the right stiffness for straight or divided tails on no hackle dun, spinner and standard dry fly patterns The tailing material is also preen oil processed after drying to bring the feather back to its natural state. In order to dye feathers, fur, and hair, complete removal of all oil is paramount to achieve maximum penetration and permanence of colour. The majority of dyed natural materials are devoid of their original natural oils and in most instances carry chemical odours that could possibly alarm fish who have highly sensitive scent glands. All of Nature's Spirits products are proudly processed with pure, natural preen oil. Natural preen oil processed materials possess resilience, sheen and a benign scent that can be translated into flies that are visually and functionally in a class of their own. -

This is my favorite dubbing from Nature's Spirit. Loads of shine but lovely natural colours. You could also put a pinch in to natural hair dubbings like squirrel or rabbit so and a inner sparkle. All the Emergence dubbings are mixes of colour not one solid colour. So many people told me to get this dubbing in and I'm glad I did. -

Hare's Mask mixed with Tri global for added inner glow. This is the dubbing i use the most for my flies. I just love the Bleached (ginger) which is perfect for my local rivers. Long staple rabbit, trilobal antron and at least 10% blended hare's mask go into each package. Both materials and colors are blended to create a custom rabbit-based dubbing -

I have looked long and hard for marabou to match ours here at funky fly tying and think i have now found it. I have inspected a few packs and EVERY feather is simple superb. Bull Elk from Nature's Spirit. Nature's Spirit Bull Elk is a tough hair that is a favorite of many fly tyers for tying any type of flies that incorporate hair in the wings or body. This is a classic fly tying material and fly tying hair. This is the flank hair off the bull elk. The color varies from light ginger to creamy blonde (rarely almost white) with dark tips. Great for Stimulators, Humpies, and the classic hair for the Troth Elk Hair Caddis. Try using the black for beetle patterns. -

Most bags of soft hackle are full of unuseble rubbish with a few feathers that are suitable for hackling. Nature's Spirit Select Grizzly hackles are different. EVERY hackle is usable so although the packets look smaller they are better valu then other brands on the market and you get superb colours as well. 20 Colours of Grizzle Hackle. Use the grizzle collaring hackle for Salmon flies, Saltwater flies, Lures etc. These are superb. This straight hair averages about three inches in length. It is spiky and has a nice sheen. It is a dense hair, so there is a minimum of flair when you tie it in. Nature's Spirit bleach the fur pieces before dying it and the colors come out very well. This is a very cool material that will enhance your hairwing patterns. Come in 1½" by 2" pieces. These large spey feathers are made from 3" to 5" goose coquille feathers which are specially processed to create a particularly spiky, long fibered feather. This "burning" process is tricky business, but we get good results and many of our dealers sell a ton of this product with a high level of customer satisfaction.
