  • They have the traditional advantage of the weight concentrating properties of standard tungsten cones. The difference is that they balance better in the water for their size. The shape of the cone makes it cut the water nicely and they are very easy to tie with! The FITS tungsten cones come in three sizes and eight standard colours.

They have the traditional advantage of the weight concentrating properties of standard tungsten cones. The difference is that they balance better in the water for their size. The shape of the cone makes it cut the water nicely and they are very easy to tie with! The FITS tungsten cones come in three sizes and eight standard colours.
  • The new tungsten half turbo is neater, better looking and the tungsten density makes them steer and balance even better. The smallest ones are superb for slim summer flies. The FITS half turbo come in three sizes and eight standard colours.
  • Frodin FITS Brass Turbo Cones

    £3.90
The original turbo! This is the cone that was made to make the fly swim better than anytime before. The cone divides the water and creates turbulence that will make your fly move and look alive. With the turbos you can use the softest materials without them collapsing in the current.
  • Frodin SSS Angel Hair

    £5.90
Frodin uses Angel Hair in almost all its fly creations today. In the smallest flies merely one or two strands of Angel Hair as the only flash element. In the bigger flies they mix Angel Hair and natural hair to create an optimal and appetizing mix. Angel Hair was a god sent gift for Frodin fly designs. Frodin has often made its own mixtures, color combinations to harmonize well with our patterns.
  • HD stands for heavy duty. This is a heavier type of Angel Hair. The material is somewhere between common flash and the original Angel Hair quality. Many times you experience the common flash to be too heavy and the Angel Hair too thin. Voila! The solution was Angel Hair HD.
  • Frodin SSS Braid

    £7.50
The SSS braids comes in a quality which makes it perfect for all forms of bodies and ribbings. It is not too thick to overlap or to be twisted. In my own fly tying I only use this one quality. If you need a ribbing then use the same material but twine it into a round or oval form. The harder you twist the smaller flies it fits.
  • Frodin SSS Holo Braid

    £8.50
This is the second generation of Frodin's fantastic braid. There are 15 holographic colours which with its unique, strong colour and reflection gives fantastic bodies and super strong glittery ribbings in all necessary colours.

  • Frodin SSS Glitz Dubbing

  • The SSS Flash mixture is consisting of both "Crinkle strands", "Mirage" and "Mirror strands" and a little bit of HD SSS Angel Hair gives a flash mix that is just completely raw!

Another revolutionary fly tying product from Mikael Frödin! FITS TTT can be used in several different ways. Central is the high specific weight and a design that opens up soft materials without collapsing – all to create that perfect swimming fly. On the Tungsten Turbo Tube you tie on the neck in front of the cone, lean the material against the back of the tube to create the perfect drop formed fly. As simple as genius!
  • Frodin SSS Tying Thread

    £3.90£5.90
These threads are strong, thin, elastic, and flattens out just great when tying with them. We have six standard colours. The must-have colours: black and white, Olive and Tan for the imitation tiers and two very strongly fluorescent colours: orange and chartreuse. We carry them in two classic qualities 8/0 and 12/0.
  • Having good order makes fly tying so much easier and the fly tying much more fun. We have the widest, finest and most functional cone system in FITS. A cone system that allows tying of flies with different profiles in all different sizes. We have during the years kept them in boxes where it was irritating and almost impossible to pick up just the cone you want. FITS Organizer solves it. With its 24 compartments and rounded bottom it becomes perfect order and very easy to pick one cone at a time. FITS Organizer comes in crystal clear hard plastic. • Frodin Dubbing Brush

    £25.00
The meanest brush we ever tried. The toughest 1.5 cm velcro on a 15 cm stainless steel handle with an ergonomically friendly grip makes this brush super effective. Comb hair, brush out dubbing or pick single strands. For us this tool is an absolute must for every fly we tie. A copy of Mikael’s old “mustard spoon brush” which he created hundreds of thousands of salmon flies with.
  • The FITS Dubbing Needle is a 13 cm long sharp hardened stainless steel needle, long enough to reach down in most varnish or glue bottles. It’s flexible and strong with an ergonomically friendly handle and will easily pick any fiber. Not rocket science, but a handy tool that all fly tiers will have good use of.
  • Frodin Ergo Tungsten Scissors

    £42.00
We love this design. Once you’ve started to tie with a crooked scissor you will never want to go back to the classic design. The angle allows a straighter wrist and lower elbow – just ergonomically superior to a straight pair of blades. This crooked scissor is 10 cm in size with a 2,5 cm long razor sharp cutting edge in super high quality carbide technique. This is Mikael’s absolute favourite scissors.
  • Scissors are the most important fly tying tool for sure. Our stainless steel scissors come in two designs. This straight classic scissor is 10.5 cm in size with a 2.5 cm long razor-sharp cutting edge in super high-quality carbide technique. We have tested our scissors two years, tying thousands of flies, cutting everything and they are still cutting with perfection.
  • Frodin Fits Tubing

    £4.50
This is the original! This is the tubing that Mikael Frödin and Håkan Norling used since the early eighties. This is the tubing that changed the use and looks of tubeflies forever. It is adapted to all kind of modern tube flies, more flexible and durable than any other tubing material. The tubing comes in four diameters; XS fits in M and S in L. 10 different colours in four diameters give almost endless possibilities.
  • In our search for the best materials possible we found a fantastic source for small, selected ostrich body feathers – the best we have seen. They are perfect for hackling big and medium flies and ideal for all kinds of Butterfly style flies. Most are perfect the way they are, and some will be after a bit of steam. We doubt there are any hackles that will swim the way good ostrich hackles do.
  • A new handy tool for measuring and cutting your FITS Tubing. The carbon steel tool cuts all four diameters of FITS Tubing with razor sharp accuracy. The tool comes with a non-slip rubber bottom, spring loaded razor cutter and steel bottom measuring plate. A fantastic little tool that makes all tubing same length and all cuts perfect without pressing tubing flat.
  • Our unique hackle plier with its spring loaded hard gripping point is a high quality 13 cm tool in high carbon steel. The swivel handle and the rubber part make it possible to wind even the weakest hackle fibers without braking. The high dead weight makes it possible to let go without feathers unwinding.
  • It boasts a slightly curly texture at the base, while its straight, tapering tips create a slim, highly durable profile. We package it in pairs, ensuring you get more material than ever before. And not only that, but it's also of much higher quality. This is the perfect "Sunray" material, featuring beautifully long and extremely durable hair that's perfect for flies much longer than the original 13.5 cm ones.
  • This medium-long, exceptionally shiny, and durable hair has been a staple for decades. It's particularly well-suited for sparsely dressed medium and small flies, zonkers, or especially for shrimp legs and tentacles. We've opted to dye vibrant colours from pure white skins and marbled hues from those skins with black hair in between, which we call “Sapphire”. Each pack contains a generous, double-cut piece sourced from the back, ensuring that every pack includes both the softer belly hair and the longer back hairs. We believe this is an underestimated winging material that produces a translucent fly with a delightful shine.
  • Sourcing for our 'Pattern of the Month' packs, we discovered these exceptional Peacock Eye Feathers. Dyed in our signature colours, they boast a natural fluorescence that adds a brilliant shine to your flies. Whether tied in as a roof over the wing, mixed into the wing itself, or spun for bodies, these feathers offer extra versatility and allure. We also present bleached and dyed variants, slightly more delicate but equally integral to many of our patterns, and sure to inspire new innovations at the tying table.
  • Ever since Mikael pioneered the use of these highly mobile feathers in salmon flies back in the late 80s, we've been struck by the way these hackles move and enhance the performance of the fly. Hackling with ostrich infuses flies with such liveliness that they practically look like they will swim off on their own. Ostrich can be utilized in various ways; these small feathers are also perfect for the “Butterfly” design, where a feather is tied in flat over the body. We've meticulously dyed them in colors that complement our different patterns.
  • Our Ringneck Pheasant Rump feathers serve as excellent front hackles for larger flies and superb “spey hackles” for smaller tubes, doubles, or singles. They are frequently paired with our ostrich hackles to help steer those ultra-soft fibers. These feathers are highly durable and can withstand many great catches. Available in all our best colors, similar to our peacock eye feathers, you have the option of bleached feathers (B&D) in vibrant colors or naturally speckled feathers dyed with a tint of color. Each pack contains approximately 30 quality feathers, ranging in size from small to large.
  • The Samurai, with its long, slim, drop-formed design, requires hair with precise attributes: a soft swimming tail, a narrow profile, and minimal tangling, even at high speeds through the water. This specially selected genetic goat hair embodies these qualities, making it the finest samurai hair we've ever encountered, both in tying and fishing. Dyed in colors that complement our expanding family of Samurai fly patterns, it perfectly suits our needs. The length of this hair varies from 15–20+ cm.
  • The market is flooded with various rubber and silicone legs, ranging from good to not-so-good quality. To help you navigate this sea of options, we've carefully curated a selection of 12 different version in colours and qualities specifically suited for our salmon, sea trout, and steelhead flies. Our collection consist of a diverse range, including narrow barred, wider barred, and three vibrant fluorescent colors. While we use silicone legs on some of our salmon flies, they are particularly effective for sea trout and steelhead patterns. These versatile legs can be incorporated in numerous ways – whether as extra tails, legs, or shrimp feelers. Positioned right behind a turbo cone, they add extra vibrations and motion to any of your favorite patterns. As always, in the realm of innovative fly tying, the possibilities are endless.
  • A classic bobbin design with a ceramic pipe that allows use of the thinnest threads. The neat 10 cm design lets the hand surround the bobbin with total control of thread pressure. Polished steel ball sides and flat thumb grip makes this bobbin very easy to use.
