In our search for the best materials possible we found a fantastic source for small, selected ostrich body feathers – the best we have seen. They are perfect for hackling big and medium flies and ideal for all kinds of Butterfly style flies. Most are perfect the way they are, and some will be after a bit of steam. We doubt there are any hackles that will swim the way good ostrich hackles do. -
One of the best CDC's on the market, highest quality feathers, hand selected, dyed cold, and carefully packed by our incredible girls. Dyed Feathers are from 4 to 6 cm and are mainly used for dubbing (using the clamp tool) or tying big wings like mayflies. All colours are dyed over natural white cdc, we do not bleach them! Natural feathers are smaller and more gentle - can be used for all sort of CDC wings, however it is impossible to arrange them as nicely as the big coloured ones. -

Ever since Mikael pioneered the use of these highly mobile feathers in salmon flies back in the late 80s, we've been struck by the way these hackles move and enhance the performance of the fly. Hackling with ostrich infuses flies with such liveliness that they practically look like they will swim off on their own. Ostrich can be utilized in various ways; these small feathers are also perfect for the “Butterfly” design, where a feather is tied in flat over the body. We've meticulously dyed them in colors that complement our different patterns. -
Our Ringneck Pheasant Rump feathers serve as excellent front hackles for larger flies and superb “spey hackles” for smaller tubes, doubles, or singles. They are frequently paired with our ostrich hackles to help steer those ultra-soft fibers. These feathers are highly durable and can withstand many great catches. Available in all our best colors, similar to our peacock eye feathers, you have the option of bleached feathers (B&D) in vibrant colors or naturally speckled feathers dyed with a tint of color. Each pack contains approximately 30 quality feathers, ranging in size from small to large.

Whiting Coq de Leon Soft Hackle With Chickabou package contains Coq De Leon hen back and Chickabou. Back contains soft hackle for wet flies. Hackle is similar to partridge but quality is higher. Most of the colors are beatiful speckled shades and they are very suitable especially for sculpin and other fish imitations wings. -

These straight and long fibered spade hackles have been hand selected to possess just the right stiffness for straight or divided tails on no hackle dun, spinner and standard dry fly patterns The tailing material is also preen oil processed after drying to bring the feather back to its natural state. In order to dye feathers, fur, and hair, complete removal of all oil is paramount to achieve maximum penetration and permanence of colour. The majority of dyed natural materials are devoid of their original natural oils and in most instances carry chemical odours that could possibly alarm fish who have highly sensitive scent glands. All of Nature's Spirits products are proudly processed with pure, natural preen oil. Natural preen oil processed materials possess resilience, sheen and a benign scent that can be translated into flies that are visually and functionally in a class of their own.
