Grading is based on several characteristics; Average Hackle Lengh, Number of usable dry fly tying feathers, predominant tying sizes of the feathers and the minimum number of flies it could tie. For a bronze grade saddle will tie between size 10 and 18. This beautiful cape will tie a minimum of 400 flies (900 on average but variation applies).
