Grading is based on several characteristics; Average Hackle Lengh, Number of usable dry fly tying feathers, predominant tying sizes of the feathers and the minimum number of flies it could tie. For a bronze grade saddle will tie between size 10 and 18. This beautiful cape will tie a minimum of 400 flies (900 on average but variation applies). -

They are perfect for hackling big and medium flies and ideal for all kinds of Butterfly style flies. Most are perfect the way they are, and some will be after a bit of steam. We doubt there are any hackles that will swim the way good ostrich hackles do. -

SSS Glitz is a long fiber flash dubbing with extreme characteristics. Unlike the usual SSS dubbing that is built on translucent synthetic fibers, Glitz is built up of flash fibers in several qualities and colors. A dubbing mix may contain up to 15 different types of fibers. All helping to achieve those perfect glittering seductive characteristics without tangles of fibers. -
The structure of the SSS dubbing consists of transparent synthetic fibers, dyed and mixed with the SSS Angel Hair blends. The strands of the Angel Hair are cut long enough to enable the brushing without them falling off the body. The 15 color combinations give you many imaginable variations for everything you tie! -
