3" x 4" patch COW ELK BACKSTRIP This hair comes from the mane to the rump of the cow elk which is longer and darker than flank hair. Averaqes about 2" in length with a texture that makes a great wing on larger, high floating Stonefly and Hopper patterns. Beautiful rich color. BULL ELK BACKSTRIP The strip of hair which extends down the back of the hide from the mane to the rump. Some interesting color variations in a 2" to 3" hair that has the correct texture for large down wing dry patterns. -
Superb product from Nature's Spirit. We have never seen this before but there is good demand for it from Pike fly tiers. Very long, nicely shaped feathers which will palmer even your largest flies and have enough length to collar the front off as well. Because the colors are dyed over tan they tend to be rich rather than bright. We think you will love these feathers! 1/8 ounce per package.

A classic fur for winging flies. The guard hair is light at the base, with a dark midsection and light tip. It takes the dye beautifully. The guard hair averages from two to three inches long, with the fur about an inch and a half. The straight guard hair stacks very easily if you desire an even wing. One 1 1/2" x 2" piece per pkg

Blue Fox is a solid color hair perfect for wings and composite loops. These are tail rings that give you even long lengths of hair for those nice long wings for salmon, sea trour or large streamers. -
We include a variety of feathers from the ruffie skin in our hand selected packs. The small feathers are suitable for soft hackles, while the large ones can be wrapped for collars on big nymphs or even pulled flat under a wingcase to imitate legs. The waste has been sorted out for you. -

Cow elk tend to have consistently nice rump hair so most of our rump hair comes from the cow elk. The color varies from charcoal to brown to blond with lengths up to 4". the texture is very coarse. A popular hair for extended body patterns. Also makes nice segmented bodies for hoppers. -

Fish Hunter Spey Marabou is the same thing as their regular marabou but bigger. Spey Marabou is a big fly tyer's best friend, Coming in all the same colors this size of feather is great for wrapping collars, tying big intruder type patterns, and articulated streamers. Coming in at 5-7 inches long. Think collars for Predator flies as well. You can also strip the herl off to use in the regular way for tails and wings. Perfect for Stillwater flies. -

These large spey feathers are made from 3" to 5" goose coquille feathers which are specially processed to create a particularly spiky, long fibered feather. This "burning" process is tricky business, but we get good results and many of our dealers sell a ton of this product with a high level of customer satisfaction. I was educated on the types of deer hair available and the different qualities. He hand selected for me some pieces of Select Cow Elk from Nature's Spirt that would be perfect for the UK and the types of flies we tie. This straight hair averages about three inches in length. It is spiky and has a nice sheen. It is a dense hair, so there is a minimum of flair when you tie it in. Nature's Spirit bleach the fur pieces before dying it and the colors come out very well. This is a very cool material that will enhance your hairwing patterns. Come in 1½" by 2" pieces. One per pack.

Most bags of soft hackle are full of unuseble rubbish with a few feathers that are suitable for hackling. Nature's Spirit Select Grizzly hackles are different. EVERY hackle is usable so although the packets look smaller they are better valu then other brands on the market and you get superb colours as well. 20 Colours of Grizzle Hackle. Use the grizzle collaring hackle for Salmon flies, Saltwater flies, Lures etc. These are superb. We are really excited about these large, webby feathers which have a minimum of taper making them ideal for collaring your favorite patterns. Suitable for a hook size range of #2 to #8. They will typically provide as many as 5 or 6 turns of hackle. Bull Elk from Nature's Spirit. Nature's Spirit Bull Elk is a tough hair that is a favorite of many fly tyers for tying any type of flies that incorporate hair in the wings or body. This is a classic fly tying material and fly tying hair. This is the flank hair off the bull elk. The color varies from light ginger to creamy blonde (rarely almost white) with dark tips. Great for Stimulators, Humpies, and the classic hair for the Troth Elk Hair Caddis. Try using the black for beetle patterns. -
