I’ve been looking for a small ‘grub’ shaped hook for a while – most suitable shapes only tend to go down to a rather large size 16. These ones seem great though, and I’ve created a few small tempting emerger patterns with them. The trout haven’t had a chance to see them yet, but hopefully the hook will perform as well on the water as it did in the vice. I particularly like the slightly over-sized eye – which should make threading tippet an absolute doddle.
