Calculating your order value
For the purposes of the local VAT and import duties calculation, the EU define the total order value as the sum of:
The cost of the items purchased.
The fee charged by the courier company (approximately £15), not the delivery charge you pay with your order.
The sum 1 + 2 will then be converted from GBP to Euro. The currency conversion rate is defined by the EU customs clearance house.
Calculating your import VAT + duties based on order value
€0 - €22 orders are VAT free and import duty free. Your order may still be subject to a delivery agent handling fee.
€23 - €150 orders will incur a local rate VAT charge (based on the location of the customs clearance house) and a delivery agent handling fee.
€151+ orders will incur a import duty charge (normally 10% of the order value), a local VAT charge (applied to the combined cost of your order value + import duty charge) and a delivery agent handling fee.
