In the early 80s, Mikael pioneered the use of soft fox hair in fly wings, a technique that has since become a hallmark of Scandinavian fly tying. Fox fur comes in a variety of crossbreeds and qualities, and we prioritise the use of top-notch materials in all our designs. Our fox fur is meticulously dyed in our exclusive palette of 15 colours, then dried, brushed, and carefully selected. We offer fox fur in four different qualities, sourced from both body hair and tails. The ‘SNS Fox Hair Supreme – Body Short’ is a soft hair ranging from 3–6 cm, perfect for winging flies of all sizes on hooks, as well as micro and nano tubes. It also works well as an under-wing on medium-sized tubes.
