In the early 80s, Mikael pioneered the use of soft fox hair in fly wings, a technique that has since become a hallmark of Scandinavian fly tying. Fox fur comes in a variety of crossbreeds and qualities, and we prioritise the use of top-notch materials in all our designs. Our fox fur is meticulously dyed in our exclusive palette of 15 colours, then dried, brushed, and carefully selected. We offer fox fur in four different qualities, sourced from both body hair and tails. The ‘SNS Fox Hair Supreme – Body’ is a long body hair, ranging from 5–10 cm, offers versatility with its longer, straighter fibers and soft undercoat. Ideal for medium-sized tubes and as an over wing on flies up to 8 cm, providing optimal movement in the water. –
